The first meeting of the Dolphin Coast Chapter was held on the 3rd September 2014 and was attended by 8 members, 6 from the Durban Chapter who have, with the approval of the Durban Chapter, started up Dolphin Coast. They have already attracted an additional 2 new members to bring their total up to 10.

The next milestone occurred on 25 January 2020 when the name of the chapter was changed to Amanzimtoti. The members felt that this new name better reflected the geographical area in which they reside and would assist in attracting new members.
